[scponly] can't start sftp-server on Fedora Core 5

Hmmm... everything looks good there.  So, it looks like your chroot and 
scponly are configured properly and the sftp-server within the chroot is 
having problems.  You'll need to strace the process.

If looking through the files doesn't make sense, you can send them to me and 
I'll try to take a look.  Basically, you'll want to look for things like 
errors opening device nodes, etc. etc.  It's hard to say what the problem 
might be.

hmm. Is FC-5 running SELINUX?
