I have an old chroot directory hanging around that *does* work with scp, so I
created a new bobo directory from scratch using my current scripts and did a
diff -r to find out if there are differences:

Binary files bobo/usr/lib/i686/cmov/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 and
smith/usr/lib/i686/cmov/libcrypto.so.0.9.7 differ

I upgraded Debian stable with whatever security updates came along, did they
break something along the way I wonder?

I don't know if anyone here can help me, I'm just posting my research as I go
along since I know other people doing that is the only reason I solve most of
my tough problems like this one...
