I printed out most of the pages about jars that are readily reachable 
from my jars page for the class.  It totaled 50 pages.  That's a 
bunch. I skipped info on the jar APIs and signing and verifying. 
I'll need to know signing for my serious research software 
distributions at some later time.

Now I'll just read them carefully and do some experiments.  Have to 
go to one of my favorite coffee shops to do this serious work (Peet's 
in Newton Center, and when in town, Espresso Royale on Gainsborough).
