thanks to matt for getting this image into the lab asap.
major changes in this image from the last lab set:

a. xfree86 upgraded to next major version (4.2.0)
	-- hardware 3d is broken right now due to some drivers causing screen
	   corruption
b. linux kernel upgrade, various software upgrades..
c. mail fixes by kevin falcone (thanks!)

also, this image is the first to automount the /arch partition on the netapp
that we have for linux. we'll slowly be migrating all the various software
installs from /usr/local/stow to /arch/linux-fs as time and people allow.
eventually the plan is to leave only a couple of apps on the local machine
(web browsers, etc). things we want to keep quick essentially. otherwise, they
will be in /arch for easy updates on all the machines. images will be pushed
periodically as this software is moved. right now, arch-linux is setup as
follows:

/arch -> /net/arch-linux
under /arch:
linux-fs/bin,lib,etc,man,packages
Xapps,com,unix,gnu (etc) -> linux-fs

so what this means essentially is that once apps are installed, all of your
paths from solaris environments will be working nicely.

so as usual, report any problems to the list, encourage random labbers to use
these machines (they seem so lonely in the back), tell them how powerful they
are, etc. :)
