Hi,

On Friday I had the opportunity to try out Crew's betaLinux project. When
I launched mozilla it opened to mail and downloaded my inbox (all 177
messages). Since there are many people who do not normally use mozilla as
their mail reader, this could be a problem (though it is probably the way
my .netscape files were configured last time I used them in 1995 or so).

Having wasted much time converting mail folders among windows, unix and
VMS clients for my colleagues, I was delighted to discover that when
I moved the mozilla mail folder into my pine directory, pine could read
everything fine. I view this little adventure on Darkside as a miracle of
open standards.

Nice work, folks!

Judy

P.S. If anybody working on the betaLinux project is currently taking
SOC1485 and could use a bit of extra credit for their open standards
assignment, let me know and I'll raise your grade.
