If I find the time I'll try to split up your setup_chroot.sh.into one main
script (with the same name) and 2 others, one for freebsd and one for solaris.

The names of the architectur and os release can be provided by config.guess
(maybe autotools should be updated to the latest version for that, dunno)

Maybe per default the platform the the autotools identify should be used, and
by using a command-line switch you can specify a file to use, or simply get
a list of available options (e.g.: list of platforms or files)

We definitly looking into that, the Linux HA project has some very useful things to
offer, that trully make linux a viable alternative. And where fault tolerance isn't
a requirement it's definitly the platform of choice.
