Member of the bipartisan National Security Preparedness Group
White House Military Office under President George H. W. Bush, 
Director for Global Issues on the National Security Council under President Clinton
Lead homeland security policy advisor for the Presidential Obama transition team
Outgoing President of the Center for National Policy, a non-partisan think tank 
Graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy
M.A.L.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Fletcher School at Tufts.
