Howdy PRL,

I wanted to let you know about this year's TFP and encourage you to
submit your work, even if it's preliminary or destined for more
prestigious venues. It's a great chance to give a talk and network,
and DC in June is pretty nice too. More details are below and on the
website.

The 2016 Symposium on Trends in Functional Programming, which will be
held at the University of Maryland in early June.

TFP uses a slightly unusual post-symposium review process for its
formal proceedings, but has a very lightweight informal process for
evaluating papers or extended abstracts for presentation at the
symposium. All authors of accepted draft papers are invited to submit
to the post-symposium review process, but it is not required to do so.
So it's possible to submit a draft paper, present it at TFP, and then
forgo the formal review in order to publish it at another venue. In this
way, TFP can be a good opportunity to have an audience and get
feedback for preliminary work.

So if you have any work in progress you'd like to showcase at TFP, I
hope you'll consider submitting a draft by April 25.

Please feel free to share this info with anyone you think might be
interested in submitting to TFP.

Thanks,
David
