[PRL] Acceptability-Oriented Computing

I just looked at Martin Rinard's slides from his presentation at
Oopsla 2003.  He talks about the futility of perfection, and how to
equip programs with graceful degradation and "limp home" modes, in
part as a defense against hostile environments.

Sounds like it might be an interesting application for contracts?
