Use "xv" on one of the Solaris machines.  It has a color editor (in
the "Windows" menu) that allows you to check and change each color
individualy (plus change the overall intensity, saturation, RGB
components, gammas, etc.)  Press the ? key in the image window to get
the control window after having started xv...
