Machine learning is largely concerned with reasoning about processes
from looking at data. Probabilistic programming languages attempt to
make this job easier by providing a domain specific language for some
common machine learning techniques. This talk will cover the background
of bayesian probability, explain the problem of statistical inference,
and sketch semantics for a few languages that can be used in this area.
