Paul Stansifer will be telling us about the history of logic.


Title: History of the logic, part 1.

Abstract:
What is truth? Is the cake a lie? Is this sentence false? These are
just some of the questions that thinkers throughout the ages have
pondered. Logic doesn't tell us all the answers, but it can tell us
how sentences relate to each other. I'll talk about the early history
of logic as a basis for mathematics, Principia Mathematica, and the
Law of the Excluded Middle.
