[linux-users] trying ubuntu on macs and nunet

I installed ubuntu 4.10 on VirtualPC 6.1 on Os X.
It runs nicely except the default color depth had to be changed from 24 to
16 before the display would work.

You might have the same problem if you are trying ubuntu with very old
monitors or graphics cards.

Also in the soc528 class we discovered that the ubuntu LiveCD loads
quickly and gets net with no difficulties on NUnet classroom machines (if
they have been configured to boot from CD). It was a convenient way to
demonstrate linux to the class.
