[Linux-users] Recent Updates

Our most recent update to the lab machines (rolled out last week) included
the following updates:

* Updated Debian packages to newest versions (apt-get upgrade)

* Moved removable media mount points /cdrom and /floppy to /mnt/cdrom and
  /mnt/floppy

* Added Perl module UI::Dialog from CPAN

* Added new packages:
  * libyaml-perl
  * apt-file (for viewing information about packages without installing)
  * distccmon-gnome (for monitoring distcc processes)

Upgraded to kernel 2.6.7 to fix security issues in 2.6.6

Fixed Gnome login script to use the metacity window manager by default,
instead of openbox.
