Howdy-
Looks like another example of pine on the Linux boxes eating mail. My
best guess is that it is configured on the Linux boxes with a different
set of defaults than those on Solaris (one of which might be to
automatically move the inbox messages to some other place which the
Solaris boxes don't look by default). FYI.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the past 2 weeks or so, I've been playing around with mutt, but decided
to stick with pine. In the intial switch back to pine, I noticed the mail
in my inbox was gone. It didn't bother me too much, since there wasn't
anything important there, but it was annoying. Today I was on obscured
and ran pine, which was linked to 4.53, and like magic, my old inbox was
back. I just logged into denali, and the inbox was gone again.

I've managed to find just about all of the messages in
/var/spool/mail/.snapshot, except for one from resnet about a possible
co-op, naturally.

I'll survive, but I figured you might like to know about this.

I'd be proud to be American, if America would stop giving me
reasons to be ashamed.

Kindly yours,
Billy SG McCarthy
