[Linux-users] Bad configuration?

People,

I tried logging in to one
of the Linux machines in the lab,
and after the login, I got a box with
a message, saying that there was a problem
with a file ....gconf...
and that I would likely not be able to create
files in my home directory.

Please tell me what to do to
get myself on the air.
