there are some random stow links in /usr/local on the new image. John, I believe these are java3d related.. as a general rule can we say to not stow a directory until it looks exactly as we want it to look for a final state? (i.e. just a bin/lib/etc or whatever is necessary for a program to operate.) -- -marc
