Yes, I am on the editors' committee, but I think this
is a lost cause.  It is very clear to me that some of
Twobit's optimizations will have to be turned off or
rewritten (in ways that will make them less effective)
in order to satisfy the mandates of R6RS.  Since many
of those mandates serve no useful purpose, some future
version of Larceny may default to a non-R6RS mode that
most programmers won't be able to distinguish from its
R6RS-compatible mode without using a stopwatch.
